192 Central Rooftop Garden

Brisbane, QLD

192 Central is located on the corner or Ann, Edward and Turbot Street in the heart of the Brisbane CBD. This highly visible and prominent building is owned by Japanese developer, Daisho. The existing building's roof was developed into a large rooftop garden complete with a fully functioning outdoor kitchen/catering facilities, BBQ's, rooftop amphitheatre including a large outdoor LED theatre screen and surround sound, cafe and bar seating, lounge areas, work pods, viewing decks, and established green gardens.

Cadence was engaged to provide client-side project management including the procurement of the Consultant team and Head Contractor to undertake the rooftop works. The need for all materials to be craned up to the rooftop, including large steel structural members, large trees, soil and blockwork materials added to the complexity of the project. In particular, the craning materials up to the rooftop involved large street closures and required a great deal of precision due to the close confines of neighbouring high-rise buildings.
